Three general dentists, Dr. Talia Davidson, Dr. Sami Taba, and Dr. Cindy Velasquez, lead the My Island Dentist team at Governor’s Square in Grand Cayman. The team includes two orthodontists, a periodontist, hygienists, assistants, and administrators. We see patients of all ages Monday to Saturday, and new patients get a free initial consultation.

Dr. Talia Davidson, DDS
Dr. Talia Davidson practices all aspects of general dentistry for patients of all ages, including preventive, family, cosmetic, and restorative care. She combines function and aesthetics to create healthy, natural-looking results that fit each patient’s needs.
Patients know her for a calm and compassionate approach. She understands that dental anxiety is real, so we offer sedation options that help patients relax during treatment.
She puts communication and transparency first. She wants you to understand your treatment options and feel confident in your decisions. When a case calls for specialty care, she works with our specialists.
Dr. Davidson has a strong interest in the link between oral health and overall wellness, including airway health and early airway development in children. The clinic uses CBCT 3D digital imaging to plan treatment.

Outside the office, Dr. Davidson enjoys time with her husband, Philip, and their daughters, Madelyn and Keira. She loves staying active, traveling with her family, and taking part in the Cayman community.
Dr. Sami Taba, DDS
Dr. Sami Taba is a general dentist who builds her care on strong patient relationships. She takes time to understand each patient’s needs, concerns, and goals before she recommends treatment.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. In her final year, the school chose her as one of only four students in her graduating class for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) clinic. Before she joined My Island Dentist, she worked in private practices in the Washington, D.C. and Maryland area.

Dr. Taba recently became a mom and loves spending time with her son and husband. Together they explore island life through beach days, swimming, and snorkeling around the Cayman Islands.
Dr. Cindy Velasquez, DDS
What Dr. Cindy loves most about being a general dentist is the variety of treatments she can provide, from esthetic dentistry and creating confident smiles to restoring function and relieving pain. She enjoys that every patient brings a unique challenge and an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
Her diverse experience as a receptionist, dental assistant, and dentist has strengthened her passion for providing patients with exceptional dental care and a positive experience. Dr. Cindy believes that great dentistry goes beyond treatment and is built on trust, communication, and making every patient feel comfortable and heard.
Dr. Cindy is now excited to begin a new chapter on the island and looks forward to becoming part of the community.

Dr. Cindy began her journey in dentistry when her two sisters, an engineer and a physician, inspired her to combine both careers.

Dr. Abbaszadeh holds an HBSc, DDS, and MSc in Orthodontics, and he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr. Bruce Freeman, orthodontist
Dr. Freeman holds a DDS, DOrtho, and MSc, and he also treats temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain.
Dr. Andrea Johnstone, periodontist
Dr. Johnstone holds a BSc(Hons), DDS, and MSc in Periodontics, and she is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

Tell us when you book. We offer nitrous oxide and oral sedation, and Dr. Davidson takes a calm approach to every visit.
